Ingredients:
- Pumpkin - 1 (small size)
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
- Crushed pepper corns - 10 (add more if you want it to be spicy)
- Small onions - 5
- Carrot - 1 (small size)
- Tomato - 1 (small size)
- Garlic - 2 big pods
- Maida flour - 1 tbsp
- Water
- Salt
Preparation:
Cut the aforementioned vegetables and keep it ready.
Add 1/2 tbsp of butter in a pan and add cumin seeds, crushed pepper corns, garlic and saute for few minutes.
In a pressure cooker, add 1/2 tbsp of butter and add chopped onions, tomatoes, carrots and pumpkins. Saute for 5 minutes with medium flame and add a cup of water, the sauted garlic mixture and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
After it gets cooked, let it cool down. Blend it well, to make a puree out of it.
Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a pan and add a tbsp of maida flour to it. Mix it well to ensure that lumps doesn’t get formed. Adding maida will give the soup a silky texture. Finally, add the puree and salt and bring it to a boil.
Serve hot with fried breads.
