Ingredients:
- Manathakkali keerai (Black nightshade) - A Bunch
- Small onions - 6
- Chana dhal - 2 tbsp
- Red chillies - 2 to 3
- Pepper corns - 5
- Jeera - 1 tbsp
- Garlic Pods - 2 (small size)
- Roasted chana dhal - 2 tbsp
- Tamarind - optional (I didn’t add)
- Oil - 3tbsp
- Salt
Preparation:
In a pan, add oil. After the oil gets heated, add jeera, chana dhal, red chillies, pepper corns, garlic and saute for few minutes. Then, add the small onions and saute for 3 minutes.
To this, add the cleaned greens and saute till it gets cooked. At last, add salt, tamarind (optional) and roasted chana dhal and turn off the stove.
After it gets cooled, blend it and serve with Rice or Dosa. The chutney will be slightly bitter in taste due to the nature of greens.
