Ingredients:
- Bread slices - 5
- Onion - 2 (medium size)
- Tomato - 1.5
- Curry leaves
- Jeera - 1 tbsp
- Chana dhal - 1 tbsp
- Split urad dhal - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Chilli powder - 1.5 tbsp
- Garam masala - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tbsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Salt
- Oil - 3 tbsp
Preparation:
In a pan, add oil and let it get heated. Add mustard seeds, jeera, chana dhal, urad dhal and saute till the dhal becomes golden brown. Then, add chopped onions and saute till the onions become golden brown.
Add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste and mix well for few minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes, masala powders, salt and saute for 2 minutes. Tip: Do not allow the tomato pieces to become soft and leave it to be crunchy.
After that, add 1/2 cup of water and bring it to boil. Tip: Don’t add more water. Add chopped pieces of bread and mix well.
Tip: You may add any vegetable of your choice to this dish.
