Capsicum Chutney


Ingredients:

  • Capsicum - 1 (any colour)
  • Tomato - 1.5
  • Chana dhal - 2 tbsp
  • Split urad dhal - 1 tbsp
  • Red chillies - 2
  • Garlic - 2
  • Salt
  • Gingelly oil

To temper:

  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves

Preparation:

In a pan, add oil and after it gets heated, add chana dhal, split urad dhal, red chillies, garlic and saute for 2 minutes. Then, add chopped tomatoes and saute until it’s half cooked.

Add chopped capsicum, salt and saute till it gets cooked. After it gets cooled to room temperature, blend it in a mixer and temper with mustard seeds. Tip: Adding gingelly oil enhances the taste of chutney.

Serve hot with dosa/idli.
