Paal Kova (Milk Sweet)


Ingredients:

  • Full cream milk - 1 litre
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom - 2

Preparation:

Take a heavy bottomed pan, preferably non-stick and add 1 litre of milk and bring it to boil. Then, set the stove to medium flame and stir the milk at regular intervals. Keep scraping the sides of the pan regularly so that the thickened milk doesn’t stick to the sides of the pan.

Once the milk turns thicker in consistency (as shown below), add sugar and cardamom powder and keep mixing.

After the sugar gets dissolved, add 2 tbsp of ghee and keep mixing at regular intervals.

Turn off the flame once the mixture becomes thick enough that it could be rolled into a ball. Allow it to cool down and store it in a container. You may consume it refrigerated within 2 days.
