Ingredients:
- Saamai - 1 cup
- Carrot - 1
- Beans - 15
- Peas - 10 pods
- Potato - 1
- Green chilli -2
- Ginger - 1/4 inch
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Water - 2.5 cups
- Salt
- Oil
Preparation:
Soak saamai for half an hour. Heat the oil in a pan and once it is hot, splutter the mustard seeds and saute the vegetables along with chilli and ginger.
To that, add salt, turmeric and 2.5 cups of water and bring it to boil. Add the saamai and let it cook, covered (till it gets soft). Tip: Add hot boiling water if required. Serve hot with any chutney of your choice.
