Ingredients:
- Raw banana - 2
- Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
- Pepper corns - 1/2 tsp
- Crushed ginger and garlic - 2 tbsp
- Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
- Coriandar powder - 1 tbsp
- Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
- Gingelly oil
- Salt
Preparation :
Wash and peel the skin from raw banana and cut them into small cubes. Boil water in a vessel with little salt and oil. After the water starts boiling, add the banana cubes and let it cook for 6 to 7 minutes in medium flame and drain the water completely.
Heat gingelly oil in a pan (be generous in adding oil) and splutter fennel seeds and pepper corns. To that, add the boiled banana cubes and roast till it turns golden brown. Then, add chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and roast for a few minutes. At last, add the crushed ginger and garlic and roast it for 2 minutes.
Serve hot with any dhal curry.
